1. James Shiner¹ Bond was born 12 December 1858. James died 1922 at 63 years of age. His body was interred 1922 in Waikumete Cemetery, Auckland.

He married Octavia Ellen Graham March 1905. Octavia was born in Eastbourne, Sussex 1867. Octavia was the daughter of Reginald John Graham and Ellen Leah Boileau. Octavia died 1953 at 86 years of age. She was listed as a resident in the census report in 11 Station Road, Eastbourne, Sussex, 1871. She was listed as a resident in the census report in The Elms, Eastbourne, Sussex, 1891. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Edmond Castle, Brampton, Cumberland, 1901.

James Shiner Bond and Octavia Ellen Graham had the following children:
