William Rose had the following children:

2 i. Josephine Mary² Rose. She married Crawford Caffin in St. Jude's, Southsea, 16/01/1883. Crawford was born in Southsea, Hampshire c1845. Crawford was the son of Sir James Crawford Caffin and Frances Brouncker Atfield. Crawford died 9/03/1891 Nice, Southern France, at 45 years of age. He was listed as a resident in the census report in Vanbrugh Lodge, Vanbrugh Fields, Greenwich, 1861.
