7. Sir George⁴ Vernon (Henry³, George², Henry¹) was born c1629. George died 18/11/1692 at 63 years of age. His body was interred 1692.

He married Elizabeth Kirkham. Elizabeth was the daughter of Roger Kirkham.

George was knighted 6/11/1681 in Whitehall, London. He made a will 9/02/1688. George's will was probated 22/12/1692. Also married to Anne, his second wife.

Sir George Vernon and Elizabeth Kirkham had the following children:

27 i. Katherine⁵ Vernon. Katherine died 21/12/1725. Her body was interred 1725 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham. She married Samuel Palmer. i0 Prebendary of Winchester. Memorial found in St. Andrews Church, Farnham:

Near this place Here lieth Katherine Vernon widow of Sam. Palmer Prebendary of Winchester and daughter of Sr George Vernon of Farnham who devoted herself to charity good works and benevolence to all according to St. Pauls Rules to widows continued in supplications and prayers night and day til the 21 December 1725 when she changed this miserable mortal life in hopes of a blessed and immortal one all the ressurection of the just. Go reader and do likewise.

28 ii. Mary Vernon was born 19/07/1657. She married George Coldham in Fresham Church. George died 18/11/1698. George was knighted 1681. (See George Coldham for the continuation of this line.)

29 iii. Henry Vernon was born c1659.

+ 30 iv. George Vernon was born c1659.

31 v. Elizabeth Vernon was born 1666. Elizabeth died 1/08/1699 at 33 years of age. Her body was interred 1699 in St. Andrews Church, Farnham. She married James Aston.
