1. Captain Joesph Sylvester¹ Walsh was born 1832. Joesph died 1867 at 35 years of age.

He married Cecilia Jane Coldham-Fussell. Cecilia was born 1836. Cecilia was the daughter of James Coldham-Fussell and Sarah Moore. Cecilia died 1894 at 58 years of age. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Castle Street, Farnham, Surrey, 1841.

Captain Joesph Sylvester Walsh and Cecilia Jane Coldham-Fussell had the following children:

2 i. Kate Ellen² Walsh was born 1856. Kate died 1936 at 80 years of age. She married Frank Burford Treatt. Frank was born in Withycombe, Devon 1845. Frank was the son of John B. Treatt. Frank died 1923 in Manly, NSW, at 78 years of age. He was listed as a resident in the census report in 28 Albion Street, Withycombe Rawleigh, Exmouth, Devon, 1851. 3 ii. Fredrick Joseph Walsh was born in Glebe, Newtown, NSW 1858. Fredrick died 1964 in Victoria, NSW, at 106 years of age. He married Meta Gediher Scheanch 1898. Meta was born 1857.

4 iii. Ada Cecilla Walsh was born in Newtown, NSW 1859. Ada died in NSW Australia. Married in 1877.

5 iv. Evangeline Walsh was born in Crescent Street, Sydney 1861. She married Thomas Church 1880.

6 v. Percy Cecil Walsh was born in Oncliffe, South head, Watsons Bay, NSW 1863. Percy died 1865 in NSW Australia, at 2 years of age.

7 vi. Constance Graham Walsh was born in Oncliffe, South head, Watsons Bay, NSW 1865.
