He married twice. He married Agnes Lucy Boileau 8/05/1855. Agnes was born in Tunbridge Wells, Kent c1836. Agnes was the daughter of Sir John Peter Boileau and Catherine Sarah Elliott. Agnes died 30/09/1881 at 45 years of age. She was listed as a resident in the census report in 20 Upper Brook Street, St. George's Hanover Square, London, 1851. He married Annie Georgiana Eyre 25/02/1884. Annie was the daughter of Charles Eyre.
