29. William⁸ à Court 1st Baron Heytesbury (William Peirce⁷ Ashe à Court, William⁶ à Court, Peirce⁵, John⁴, John³, William², William¹)⁽³⁴⁾ was born in The Close, Salisbury 11/07/1779. William died 31/05/1860 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, at 80 years of age. His body was interred 1860 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire.

He married Maria Rebecca Bouverie in St. George's Hanover Square, London, 30/10/1808. Maria was born 5/10/1783. Maria was the daughter of William Henry Bouverie and Lady Bridget Douglas. Maria died 6/10/1844 in Phoenix Park, Dublin, at 61 years of age. Her body was interred 1844 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire. She was listed as a resident in the census report in 53 Queen Ann Street, Marylebone, London, 1841.

Viceroy of Ireland 1844 - 1846.

Inscription found in Heytesbury Church:

In the family vault near this place lie the remains of Maria Rebecca Lady Heytesbury and daughter of the The Honourable William Henry Bouverie and the Lady Bridget his wife daughter of James 14th Earl of Morton. She was born October 5 1785 and died at the Vice-Regal lodge near Dublin October 6 1844. Deeply regretted by her family and endeared to the recollections of the inhabitants of this parish by the gentleness of her demeanor and extensive benevolence. Also those of William Lord Heytesbury one of her majesty's most honourable privy council Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath and a Baronet. He was born at Salisbury July 11 1779 and after many years spent in the diplomatic service of the country and after filling the high office of Viceroy of Ireland departed this life May 31st 1860.

She married Robert Daly in Castle Knock, Dublin, 7/12/1845. Robert was born in Ireland c1819. Robert was the son of James Daly Lord Dunsandle & Clarconnel. Robert died 15/01/1892 in 83 Eaton Place, London, at 72 years of age. He was listed as head of household in the 1851 census in 83 Eaton Place, London. He was listed as head of household in the 1871 census in 83 Eaton Place, London. He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in 83 Eaton Place, London. 39 v. Arthur Edward à Court was born in Naples, Italy 3/11/1815. Arthur died 6/12/1816 in Naples, Italy, at 1 year of age. Inscription found in Heytesbury Church:

To the memory of Arthur Edward à Court son of William and Maria Rebecca à Court born at Naples November 3rd 1815 died there December 16 1816.

40 vi. Frederick Ashe à Court was born in Naples, Italy 15/12/1818. Frederick died 28/01/1840 in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, at 21 years of age. He was christened in Naples, Italy, 17/03/1819. Sponsors: Dowager Viscountess Powerscourt (Isabella Brownlow). Mrs. Dawkins-Pennant. Edward à Court.

Christening registered at the London Register Office. The certificate sent to the Foreign Office in a private despatch 1819. A second copy in the Family Bible, a third in the copy of the despatch and at Heytesbury.

Inscription found in Heytesbury Church:

In memory of the Honourable Frederick Ashe à Court youngest son of William, Lord Heytesbury. He was born in Naples December 15 1818 and died at Heytesbury January 28th 1840. Leaving a void in the affections of his family which can never by filled.
