2. William Reid² Erskine (Claudius (Claude) James¹) was born in Bombay, India 1848.

He married Charlotte Elizabeth Clay in Watford, Hertfordshire, 1894. Charlotte was born in G. Helington, Northampton c1858. Charlotte was the daughter of Castel Pelham Clay. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Treleigh, Redruth, Cornwall, 1901.
