John Mackintosh of Corrybrough More Capt. 42nd Highlanders

6. Captain John⁵ Mackintosh (Angus⁴, Lachlan³, William², Lachlan¹) birth date unknown. John died 1803.

He married Margaret M'Gilchrist.

Captain John Mackintosh and Margaret M'Gilchrist had the following children:

8 i. Eliza⁶ Mackintosh was born 1782. She married Mr. Gloag 1801.

9 ii. Margaret Mackintosh was born 1783.

10 iii. Anne Mackintosh was born 1786. Anne died 29/06/1825 at 39 years of age. She married James Balfour c1806. James was born in St. Cuthberts, Edinburgh 07/01/1774. James was the son of John Balfour 3rd Laird of Pilrig and Jean Whytt. James died 20/03/1860 Pilrig House, Edinburgh, at 86 years of age. He was listed as head of household in the 1841 census Pilrig House, Edinburgh. (See James Balfour for the continuation of this line.)

Buried in the Parish Church of South Leith.
