12. Sir John³ Malcolm (George², Reverend Robert¹) was born in Burnfoot, Westerkirk, Dumfriesshire 2/05/1769. John died 30/05/1833 in London, at 64 years of age.

He married Charlotte Isabella Campbell 4/07/1807. Charlotte was born 31/01/1789. Charlotte died 26/06/1867 in Bath, Somerset, at 78 years of age.

Governor of Bombay, 1826-1830.

Sir John Malcolm and Charlotte Isabella Campbell had the following children:

32 i. Margaret⁴ Malcolm was born 17/05/1808. Margaret died 6/02/1841 at 32 years of age. She married Sir Alexander Cockburn Campbell 20/06/1827. Alexander was born 1807. Alexander died 23/04/1871 at 63 years of age. (See Sir Alexander Cockburn Campbell for the continuation of this line.)

33 ii. George Alexander Malcolm was born 21/01/1810. George died 2/06/1888 at 78 years of age. He married Georgina Harcourt 4/12/1845. Georgina died 31/10/1886. Died without issue.

34 iii. Olympia Charlotte Malcolm was born in India 10/12/1811. Olympia died October 1886 at 74 years of age. She married Charles George Lewis Guido von Usedom in Naples, Italy, 8/08/1849. Charles was born 17/07/1805. Charles died January 1884 at 78 years of age. (See Charles George Lewis Guido von Usedom for the continuation of this line.)

She was christened in Bombay, India, 14/01/1812. Also found name as Charlotte Olympia.

35 iv. Anne Amelia Malcolm was born 30/04/1814. Anne died 25/07/1873 at 59 years of age. Died without issue.

36 v. Catherine Wellesley Malcolm was born 31/10/1815. Catherine died 23/05/1891 at 75 years of age. Died without issue. Possibly listed as a lodger in the 1881 census at 85 Sloan Street, London. Age fits.
