6. John Peach² MacWhirter (John¹) was born in Calcutta, Bengal, India 1 January 1820. John died 11 May 1857 in Delhi, India, at 37 years of age.

He married Ann Harriett Clarkson in Simla, India, 17 October 1846. Ann was born in Agra, North Western Provinces, India 27 March 1824. Ann was the daughter of John Horatio Clarkson and Sophia Martindell. Ann died 18 May 1856 in Landour, Mussoorie, North Western Province, India, at 32 years of age. Her body was interred 20 May 1856 in Landour, Mussoorie, North Western Province, India. She was christened in Agra, North Western Provinces, India, 1 May 1824.

He was christened in St. Andrew's, Calcutta, 17 February 1820. 1839-40 Haileybury College.

John Peach MacWhirter and Ann Harriett Clarkson had the following children:

12 i. John Horatio³ MacWhirter was born in Naini Tal, North Western Province, India 13/08/1847. John died 23/05/1848 in Moradabad, Western Province, India, at less than one year of age. He was christened in Naini Tal Lake, North West Province, India, 27/08/1847.

+ 13 ii. Lestock Charles Harcourt MacWhirter was born 18 September 1848.

+ 14 iii. James McKillop MacWhirter was born 19/08/1850.

15 iv. Harriett Louisa Elizabeth MacWhirter was born in Simla, India 21 October 1854. Harriett died 7 January 1940 in South Sands Hotel, Marine Parade, Worthing, at 85 years of age. She married Walter Bouchier in Steeple Morden, Cambridge, England, 20/04/1876. Walter was born in Bombay, India 20/12/1837. Walter was the son of John Bouchier and Sophia Phillips. Walter died 4/12/1912 in 4 Stevenage Road, Bishops Park, Middlesex, at 74 years of age.

She was christened in Umballa, Punjab, India, 26/11/1854.

16 v. Albert Flemyng Ross MacWhirter was born in India 31 December 1855. Albert died 11 June 1858 in Missiuri, India, at 2 years of age. His body was interred 12 June 1858 in Landour, Mussoorie, North Western Province, India.
