The Revd James Worsley M.A. was the second son of
Sir Edward Worsley of Gatcombe House by Dame Elizabeth
daughter of Sir John Miller, Bart, and Grand-daughter of
Sir William Meux of Kingston, Bart, and Great Grand-daughter
of Sir John Meux, Bart, by Dame Elizabeth, daughter of
Sir Richard Worsley, Bart.
Sir Edward Worsley was descended from John Worsley, a
younger Branch of the Appuldurcombe family, and Brother
of Sir Richard Worsley, created a Baronet, June 11th 1511
