Douglas married Margaret Cecilia Bruce, daughter of Henry Austin Bruce, 1st Baron Aberdare and Annabella Beadon, in 1869.⁵³ (Margaret Cecilia Bruce was born in 1846 in Clifton, Bristol, christened on 14 December 1846 in Clifton, Bristol and died on 10 April 1878.)

Douglas next married Ethel Emily Skrine in 1880.⁵³ (Ethel Emily Skrine died on 14 December 1934 in London ¹³.)
