Ronald married Winifred Erle Smith, daughter of Charles Robert Smith and Lessie Myrtle Roush, on 15 June 1932 in Spokane, Washington. (Winifred Erle Smith was born on 31 December 1909 in Minnehaha, Washington and died on 29 May 1975 in Hayward, California.)
