Margaret married George William Balfour, son of Lewis Balfour and Henrietta Scott Smith, in 1854.³⁵⁸ (George William Balfour was born on 2 June 1823 in The Manse, Sorn, Ayrshire,⁶⁶⁶ died on 9 August 1903 in Westfield, Colinton, Midlothian and was buried in August 1903 in Ratho, Midlothian ³⁵⁸.)
