General Notes: Dean of the Court of Arches, London. Scholar of Winchester College (Founder's Kin) 1577; Fellow of New College, Oxford, 1586 - 1591; B.C.L. 19 February 1592; D.C.L. 17 June 1605; Master of the Grammar School at Chichester 1604, and subsequently Chancellor of the Diocese of Oxford; Fellow of the College of Advocates, London, 9 June 1607. Noted events in his life were: 1. He signed a will on 4 January 1628. 2. He had an estate probated on 10 October 1632. Hugh married Mary Pyott, daughter of Richard Pyott and Margaret Floyer, on 5 June 1620 in Low Leyton, Essex. (Mary Pyott died in 1654 and was buried in 1654 in New College Chapel, Oxford.) |
