  General Notes:

In 1783 became heir to the property of his second cousin, Thomas Knight as was adopted by Thomas and Catherine Knight. Assumed the name of Knight in 1812 and was the steady benefactor of his mother, brothers, and sisters. ⁷⁴⁸

Edward married Elizabeth Bridges, daughter of Sir Brook Bridges and Unknown, in December 1791.⁷⁴⁸ (Elizabeth Bridges died in 1808.)
