Cause of his death was Poisoning. General Notes: Married to Sarah. In the summer of 1770 Cotes, by now clearly in great pain from 'the stone', ingested a soap-based potion in order to dissolve his kidney or gallstones. The concoction poisoned him. Noted events in his life were: 1. He was baptised on 29 May 1726 in St. Mary-le-Strand, Middlesex. 2. Resided: 1763, 32 Cavendish Square, London. Francis married in 1765. |
