William Douglas, 3rd Duke of Hamilton ²²

Changed his name to Hamilton in accordance with the will of his wife's uncle, William. Earl of Selkirk, Lord Daer, Lord Shortcleuch.

William married Anne Hamilton, 3rd Duchess of Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton, 1st Duke of Hamilton and Lady Mary Feilding, on 29 April 1656 in Corstorphine Church, Edinburgh. (Anne Hamilton, 3rd Duchess of Hamilton was born in 1632 and died in 1716.)
