Educated at Roysse's School and Magdalen College, Oxford. Attached to the 6th Cavalry Brigade, 3rd Cavalry Division as despatch rider and left for the front 6 October 1914. Killed whilst on his motor bicycle carrying Despatches at the First Battle of Ypres.
