Intelligence Officer. Educated at Putney High School and Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. She joined the Metropolitan Police as a clerk collating sensitive information for special branch. After moving to MI5, she was acknowledged as MI5's expert on Soviet espionage. She retired in 1967.
