Charlotte married Hugh Elliot, son of Sir Gilbert Elliot and Agnes Dalrymple-Murray-Kynynmound, in 1779. The marriage ended in divorce. (Hugh Elliot was born on 6 April 1752, died on 10 December 1830 in Somerset Street, London and was buried in 1830 in Westminster Abbey, London.)
