Sir Henry Thomas Gibson-Craig-Carmichael, Bt., died suddenly on Sunday at Riccarton, Mid Lothian, at the age of 41. He had been golfing at the week-end and had won a handicap prize of the North Berwick Old Club. The fourth son of Sir James Henry Gibson-Craig, he was born on January 5, 1885, was formerly a lieutenant in the 3rd Battalion the Royal Scots, and was afterwards a captain in the 4th Battalion the Highland Light Infantry. He served in Egypt during the Great War. He succeeded to the baronetcy of Riccarton, created in 1831, when his brother was killed in the battle of the Aisne on September 14, 1914; and on the death of his kinsman, Lord Carmichael, last January, he succeeded to the baronetcy of Gibson of Keirhill, created in 1702 with remainder to heirs male for ever, and took the additional name of Carmichael. Sir Henry was unmarried. He is succeeded by his uncle, Mr. Henry Vivian Gibson-Craig, J.P. for Bucks, who was born in 1847, married Emily Dulcibella, sister of Sir Robert Wilmot, Bt., of Osmanston, and has a son.
