bullet  General Notes:

He left France in 1685. He was an ensign in Corneau's regiment in 1687, whence he was drawn for the mousquetaires of Brandenbourg, and remained with them until 1693; when he purchased an ensigncy in Luc's regiment of infantry, in the service of the Duke of Brunswick-Lunenberg-Zell; and soon after he was presented with the lieutenancy of Schnau's company in the same regiment. In 1702 he was present at the assault on the town and citadel of Liége. On the 2nd of July, 1704, he was at the battle of Donawitz on the Danube, which was gained by the Duke of Marlborough over the Comte d'Arcot. In the same year he was wounded at the battle of Blenheim, gained by the Duke over the French and Bavarians, who lost 20, 225 killed and 15,000 prisoners. He was then promoted to a captain cy in Luc's regiment; but he died at Northingen in Suabia of his wounds. He had been pierced from his chest to his spine, and two of his ribs were brokens. 842
