Was appointed Vicar of Godalming in 1833, and Rector of Tattingstone in 1838. Magistrate and Commissioner of Taxes for Suffolk. Author of Letters from the North of Europe and of The Thred Great Empires of Austria, Russia and Turkey. Noted events in his life were: 1. Census UK 1851: 1851, Tattingstone, Suffolk. 2. Resided: 1 July 1875, Tattingstone, Suffolk. 13 3. He had an estate probated on 18 August 1875 in Principal Registry. 13 Charles married Emily Gertrude Dougan, daughter of John Dougan and Unknown, on 15 June 1831 in Trinity Church, Marylebone, London.935 (Emily Gertrude Dougan was born in 1811 in Clapham, London and died in 1877 in Kensington, London.) |
