Eliot of Saint Germans, Co Cornwall (GB), so created 13 Jan 1784; Educated St Mary Hall Oxford; MP St Germans 1748-68 and 1774-75, Liskeard 1768-74 and Cornwall 1775-84, Receiver-Gen Duchy Cornwall 1751, a Lord of Trade 1760-76.

Edward married Catherine Elliston, daughter of Edward Elliston and Catherine Gibbon, on 25 September 1756 in St. James's, Westminster. (Catherine Elliston died on 23 February 1804 in Port Eliot, St. Germans, Cornwall and was buried on 1 March 1804 in St. Germans, Cornwall.)
