The death is announced of Sir William FitzHerbert, fourth baronet, who died on Monday night at his residence, Tissington Hall, near Ashborne, Derbyshire. He was the son of the third baronet by the daughter of the Rev. William Beresford, and was born on 2 June 1808. He was educated at Charterhouse, and served in the Inniskilling Dragoons. He married, in 1836, Annie, daughter of Sir Reynold Abel Alleyne (she died in 1864), and succeeded his father, Sir Henry FitzHerbert in 1858. He was high sheriff of Derbyshire in 1865 and 1866. He was a D.L. and a J.P. for Derbyshire. He is succeeded by his son, the Rev. Richard FitzHerbert, rector of Warsop, Notts, who was born in 1846 and educated at St. John's College, Cambridge, where he graduated B.A. in 1870, proceeding M.A. in 1874, and who married, in 1871, Mary Anne, daughter of the late Mr. Edward Arkwright, of Hatton, Warwickshire.
