James Douglas, 11th Earl of Morton ¹⁶⁹

  General Notes:

He was a member of the Privy Council of Queen Anne, and was one of the
commissioners for the Union. He successfully won the repeal of the Act
of 1669, thereby recovering the islands of Orkney and Zetland. James
was unmarried when he died December 7, 1715 and the titles passed to
his younger brother.
