Heytesbury House

November 9th  1826

My dear William,

I send you your quartely accounts closed to the present date.  The rent of Southleigh wood & your usual rents & Land Tax are still due.  Prangley has not yet made out his account for work done at Tytherington but has received, as you will perceive,
119.10.0  3/4 on account.

We shall commence receiving the plantations tomorrow if the frost abate.  The enclosure at the back of the belts is half completed.  After this year, I can conceive no extra expenses here beyond the usual quarterly bills & right happy shall I be when this is the case.
Your wine is bottled.  The Paccacetti most particularly fine.  The Cooper pronounces the Muscadet & ... to be excellent also.  We are now repacking the whole of the binns & taking an exact account of every bottle in your cellar.  Much of the Rhinish is gone: - owing to bad corking, many of the bottles were nearly half empty & the wine ......  .... .  The Port appears in good condition.  Owing to an ample apolgy from the trespasser from Warminster, we have consented to stay proceedings in the Action which we had commenced against him.

Your affectionate Brother
