Heytesbury Nov 2 1824

My Dear William,

The uncertainty of your movements prevented my sending you your midsummer accounts sooner. Those for Michaelmas will I hope be closed this week, when I shall have received the whole of your rents. I have already remitted 1000£ to Messrs Bouverie & Co. being the whole of the account that I shall be able to remit. The mansion-part of the old house at Tytherington has been put into a complete state of repair; the offices & low thatched part we propose leaving till Ingram’s term expires.

You will perceive a charge this quarter for “Destroying Cow parsley”. Messrs Everett did not of course feel bound to this expense & I was therefore obliged to undertake it. That which grew on my side of the park was drawn long ago, the first year I became your tenant.

I remain Affectionately yours
