Diarist. Her valuable political diary was secreted in her room until her death, then kept at Apsley House; it was not published until 1950, when it appeared in two volumes as 'The Journal of Mrs Arbuthnot'. Married life spent at Woodford Lodge, Northamptonshire.
Harriet married Charles Arbuthnot, son of John Arbuthnot and Anne Stone, on 31 January 1814. (Charles Arbuthnot was born on 14 March 1767, died on 18 August 1850 in Apsley House, London and was buried in 1850 in Kensal Green Cemetary, London.)
