Marriages
Mr. Vincent Jones and Miss Mary Bagot
At Haversham Church, Westmorland, yesterday, there took place the marriage of Mr. Vincent Jones, second son of the late Canon Jones, of Burnside, Westmorland, with Miss Mary Bagot, youngest daughter of Captain Bagot, M.P., and Mrs. Bagot, of Levens Hall, Milnthorpe. The officiating clergy were the Rev. H. Gresford Jones, vicar of Bradford (brother of the bridegroom), and Canon Gilbert, vicar of the parish. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attended by the following bridesmaids:- Miss Marjory Bagot (sister of the bride), the Misses Alice and Winifred Jones (sisters of the bridegroom), Miss Sibyl Cropper, Miss Maye Weston, and Miss Willow Wakefield (cousins of the bridegroom). Mr. Clement Jones was his brother's best man. After the wedding Captain and Mrs. Bagot held a reception at Levens Hall, which was largely attended. Later in the afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Vincnet Jones left for Leasowe Bank, Cheshire; they leave England on Friday next for Newfoundland.
