Found in The Times, April 25, 1916
The death of Major Sir Henry Paulet St. John Mildmay, Bt., late Grenadier Guards, took place at Dogmersfield Park yesterday. Sir Henry, who was within a few days of completing his 63rd year, was the eldest son of the fifth baronet and the Hon. Helena Shaw-Lefevre, second daughter of Viscount Eversley, and succeeded his father in 1902. He was formerly in the Grenadier Guards and served in the Egyptian War of 1882, for which he held the medal with clasp and the Khedive's Star, and in the Suakin Expedition in 1885, during which he was mentioned in dispatches and received the brevet rank of major. The family of which he was the head is of great antiquity, tracing its lineage back to Hugh de Mildme, who was living in 13 King Stephen, 1147, and was the ancestor of Sir Robert de Mildmay. The first baronet of the present line was Sir Paulet St. John Mildmay, who was M.P. for Winchester, 1734-47, for Hampshire 1741-7, and later again for Winchester, and was created a baronet in 1772. Mr. Gerald Antony Shaw-Lefevre St. John Mildmay, Sir Henry's brother now succeeds to the baronetcy, Sir Henry having died unmarried. The new baronet in 1900 assumed the additional prefix surnames of Shaw-Lefevre in compliance with the terms of the will of his grandfather, Viscount Eversley. He married in 1892 the second daughter of the Rev. C. A. St. John-Mildmay, of Hazelgrove, and has a son.

1. Resided: 24 April 1916, Dogmersfield Park, Hampshire. 13
