Reverend Sir Henry Worsley Holmes 8th Baronet Worsley. Acceeded from Sir Richard Worsley of Appuldercombe, his kinsman in 1805. Took the name Holmes in 1804.
Inscription found in Arreton Church, Arreton, Isle of Wight:
Sacred to the memory of the Reverend Sir Henry Worsley Holmes, Bart., third son of Robert Worsley Esq. late of Pidford in this island. Exemplary in the duties and active in the charities of life the rank and fortune he enjoyed enabled him to indulge the natural benevolence of his heart and to become the liberal dispenser of good to others. As a divine and magistrate he lived in the respect and esteem of society and as a friend, father and christian he closed a useful and well spent life in the bosom of his afflicted family on the 14th day of April 1811 in the 56th year of his age. Thou has been faithful unto death and I will give thee the crown of life.

Henry married Elizabeth Troughear Holmes, daughter of Reverend Leonard Troughear and Elizabeth Tyrrell, on 2 January 1785 in Calbourne, Isle of Wight. (Elizabeth Troughear Holmes was born on 31 January 1759 and died on 20 January 1832 in Newport, Isle of Wight 158.)
