Jane married Sir Thomas Frederick Elliot, son of Hugh Elliot and Margaret Jones, on 16 May 1833. (Sir Thomas Frederick Elliot was born in July 1808 in London, christened on 1 September 1808, died on 12 February 1880 in Shepeard's Hotel, Cairo, Egypt and was buried in Cairo, Egypt.) The cause of his death was Typhoid fever.
